Today, I want to give you a remedy for when your dog has diarrhea and you have to wait to take him to the vet.
Sometimes, we can’t get an appointment to the vet right away, we have to wait a few hours or until the next day.
This remedy can really help stop your dog’s diarrhea until you take him to the vet.
It’s a very simple recipe and anybody can do it.
For a large dog, you’ll need the following:
A medium sweet potato
A chicken breast (free range or organic)
2 1/2 cups water (spring or filtered water)
A cooking pot
For a small dog, you’ll just need:
2 thick slices of sweet potato
2 thick slices of turnip
1/2 chicken breast
One cup water or more as needed to cover the vegetables and chicken
The first step is to peel the vegetables. Then cut them into medium-sized pieces. Also slice the chicken breast. Put the vegetables and chicken breast pieces into the pot.
Add the spring or filtered water to the pot, cover it and let it cook over low heat for an hour.
The result will be very soupy and the vegetables will be very soft. Let it cool thoroughly and feed it to your dog. This will help halt the diarrhea until you can see the vet with your pet.
